Otherwise, we accept cash payment. We can provide you with a Superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for physical therapy services.

For cash-based services, you do not need a doctor's referral. The state of Hawaii is an unrestricted Direct Access State, which means a patient may receive physical therapy services without a referral from another healthcare provider. This allows for quicker access to care, less jumping through hoops to see someone, and thus quicker recovery and results.

Upon our initial session, your PT will evaluate if your condition is beyond our scope of practice, and will refer you to the appropriate healthcare provider as needed.

If you do plan to submit a Superbill to your insurance, then you will want to check with your insurance company what is required in order to submit.

They may require a referral or pre-authorization for reimbursement.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept cash payment for physical therapy services if you have Medicare or Medicaid as your insurance at this time (our contracts are pending). Medicare and Medicaid do not allow cash payment for services that they cover, which includes medically necessary physical therapy. We may work with you for wellness services, but not physical therapy.
